Howard's Howard's Way

The A walkers met today at Birchin Clough car park, A57 Snake Pass S33 0BJ, grid reference SK 109 914 at 10 am. The distance and ascent of the walk were 11.4 miles and 2,857 feet, according to ViewRanger on a Moto X Play. There were 32 people on the walk. Here is the Route:

It was hot and sunny with almost no wind, and often rough underfoot. The walk included a steep climb up Blackden Brooke, with over 900 feet of ascent (plus lots of ups and downs) and several sections of exposed scrambling.
